CALL TO ORDER / PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Council President Danielle Browne called the meeting to order and provided general house-keeping
rules, including encouraging citizens to share the meeting on social media and what to do “in case of
emergency”. Council President Browne explained the 3-minute-plus-1 public comment rule. She then
asked a Councilperson to lead the council in the Pledge of Allegiance. Council President then proceeded
to the Public Speakers session of the evening (listed below as public comment).

Council Responses:
Councilman Gleason - spoke on mitigating issues from the speakers list and have been in contact
with Department of Public Works on the addressed issues and active plans and improvements being
made regarding pedestrian safety.
Councilman Boxhill - expressed his agreeance with removing the tree and re purposing the area.
Councilman Thompson - expressed actively working with DPW on resolving the addressed issues
Councilman Poteat - no additional comment
Council President Browne - addressed getting the residents a timeline and for AA to maintain
contact. The Doles Center renaming is on tonight’s agenda. Explained that sidewalks are
homeowner property unless a tree is damaging the sidewalk. Expressed GRANT possibility for
homeowners and sidewalk repairs. Explained the role of the City Council and the role of the
Administration, the Mayors Office. The City Council does advocate for the constituents.
