Comptroller Morton: There was concern for total cost and interest cost. That cost must be
budgeted starting 2025. What is the immediacy for this so we can search alternative options?
Mayor Patterson - Howard: DPW and finance office met on this, and ARPA funds would be
used first and the city’s payments will begin 2026. 62% of the fleet is unusable. This equipment
is ready and available.
Deputy Commissioner Nuculovic: Trucks are not able to handle a snow, hold salt/sand and
plow. We must get the truck, training and have it ready by the snow season. It is dyer and urgent.
The refuse trucks are in disrepair. We don’t have time to repair because they are being used
during three shifts.
Comptroller Morton: This was discussed with DPW but was not told that DPW was going
forward with this lease purchase. Someone reached out to bond counsel. Is there a buyout clause
or early penalty payment? We may find alternative financing funds instead of taking it to the
term of the original leasing agreement. We will hold it for now and make time to come back this
week for a special meeting.
Assistant Corporation Counsel Powell: we have a document with the terms for review.

& one regular car. The funds and quote might also be wrong.
Mayor SPH: We received clarification during the recess to speak. The SUV's are to deliver food
and cargo van for food rescue. It is for 2 SUVs and cargo van for large support transport. It is
correct.
Comptroller Morton: eligibility code for that vehicle being used by commissioners.
