rules, including encouraging citizens to share the meeting on social media and what to do “in case of
emergency”. Council President Browne explained the 3-minute-plus-1 public comment rule. She then
asked a Councilperson to lead the council in the Pledge of Allegiance. Council President then proceeded

Update on safety situation near 22 brookfield road
Councilman Boxhill: requested additional information from the speaker and will circle back after
speaking with other departments
Councilman Gleason: explained that she was driving by during the holiday and was speaking with
the police commissioner who went over and saw that there was no traffic being able to move during
that time. Saw the mosque own security that was present. There needs to be a study done before any
action that can be taken. They need to come up with a better parking plan. Parking with deptartment
of recreation or youth bureau to utilize the buses for shuttling.
Councilman Thompson: will speak with Police Department and ordinance team and to see if there
can be a police presence in the area and will speak to the mosque to see if they can partner with the
school district and they can probably get a charter bus to transport them from the parking to the
mosque so they can worship and the homeowners can not be. It is a safety hazard because
emergency vehicle can get down the street.
Council President Browne: understand their frustration and there is an enforcement issue, we will
have to remind them especially parking on property and there is definitely a customer service issue.
Requested the call information time and date because the calls are taped and we can address the
Police Department and enforce proper training. Will put in a complaint regarding the temporary tent
with the buildings department to see if they are out of compliance. There has been meetings with the
mosque and there has not been any improvement.
Fabiana Azoni - No Show

Concern for corner of Washington and south Fulton, people do not obey traffic light. Other concern:

reviewed.
Councilman Gleason: explained that city council does not have any purview over the school district
and explained that the council will forward her complaint to the school district but recommended
that she directly contact the school district.
Councilman Thompson: hopefully the school district knows about the leaks if not they I will bring it
to the buildings and grounds team and will have out Legislative aide reach out to give you a update.
Council President Browne: other council members will speak with Police Department and the
parking lot. With the school district, I recommend that you attend a school board meeting and
address those issues.
