City Council:
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING
NICOLE J. BONILLA AS DEPUTY CITY CLERK
FOR THE CITY OF MOUNT VERNON
Whereas, under Section 34 of the City Charter, as amended by Local Law No. 4 of 2008, the City Council shall appoint to hold office during its pleasure a Deputy City Clerk for the City of Mount Vernon; and
Whereas, the City Council has deliberated on the appointment of the Deputy City Clerk and has selected Ms. Nicole J. Bonilla for the position; and
Whereas, Ms. Nicole J. Bonilla commenced her position as Deputy City Clerk on April 29, 2024; and
Whereas, Ms. Bonilla possesses a strong foundation in public administration and is equipped to provide comprehensive administrative and operational leadership and support to the City Clerk's Office and the Council body; and
Whereas, Ms. Bonilla has demonstrated skills that enable her to exercise initiative and judgment and make decisions within the scope of her assigned authority; Now, Therefore, be it
Resolved, that this City Council does hereby appoint Ms. Nicole J. Bonilla as Deputy City Clerk for the City of Mount Vernon effective April 29, 2024; and be it further
Resolved, that Ms. Nicole J. Bonilla shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the Deputy City Clerk effective immediately; and be it further
Resolved, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to notify Ms. Nicole J. Bonilla of her appointment as Deputy City Clerk; and be it further
Resolved, the funds for the Deputy City Clerk position are appropriated through Budget Code A1410.101 in the 2024 adopted budget; and be it further
Resolved, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
