City Council:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MOUNT VERNON, NEW YORK,
APPOINTING ERICA BUCHANAN TO THE
CABLE TELEVISION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Chapter 12, Section 12-4 of the Mount Vernon City Code provides for the appointment of members of the Cable Television Advisory Committee by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Erica Buchanan to serve as a member of the Cable Television Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the appointment of Erica Buchanan will serve the interests of the residents of the City of Mount Vernon and further the purposes of the Cable Television Advisory Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mount Vernon, New York, as follows:
1. Appointment. Erica Buchanan is hereby appointed as a member of the Cable Television Advisory Committee of the City of Mount Vernon, pursuant to Chapter 12, Section 12-4 of the Mount Vernon City Code.
2. Term. The term of such appointment shall be for one (1) year, commencing on August 12, 2026, and expiring on August 11, 2027.
3. Effectiveness. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council.
4. Authorization. The appropriate City officials are hereby authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to effectuate the purposes of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution shall be provided to Erica Buchanan and maintained among the official records of the City of Mount Vernon.
