A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 7 APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF ESTIMATE
AND CONTRACT ON OCTOBER 29, 2026, REGARDING
THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED 2027
ANNUAL ESTIMATE
WHEREAS, the Board of Estimate and Contract (the “Board”) of the City of Mount Vernon (the “City”) previously approved Resolution No. 7 on October 29, 2026, relating to the scheduling and advertisement of a public hearing concerning the proposed 2027 Annual Estimate for the City; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7 authorized a public hearing regarding the proposed 2027 Annual Estimate to be held before the Board of Estimate and Contract on Monday, November 16, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7 further directed the City Clerk to advertise said public hearing on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in accordance with the provisions of Section 81 of the Charter of the City of Mount Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City now seeks to rescind Resolution No. 7 approved on October 29, 2026, including the authorization and direction contained therein concerning the public hearing and its advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Estimate and Contract has determined that it is in the best interests of the City to formally rescind Resolution No. 7; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Board of Estimate and Contract of the City of Mount Vernon, New York, as follows:
Section 1. Rescission of Resolution No. 7. Resolution No. 7 approved by the Board of Estimate and Contract on October 29, 2026, concerning the public hearing on the proposed 2027 Annual Estimate, is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
Section 2. Public Hearing Authorization. Any authorization, direction, or action contained in Resolution No. 7 relating to the scheduling, notice, or advertisement of the public hearing concerning the proposed 2027 Annual Estimate is hereby revoked and shall have no further force or effect.
