A RESOLUTION APPOINTING
DELORES MACK TO THE TAXICAB COMMISSION
WHEREAS, under Chapter 238, Section 238-2 of the Code of the City of Mount Vernon, the Taxicab Commission; “The Taxicab Commission shall consist of nine members.. the City Council shall appoint four members, one of which shall be a representative from a consumer group, one from a community advocacy group, one shall be a person who is physically challenged, and one shall be a duly licensed and admitted attorney who shall chair the Commission, for a term of three years. All such members shall serve without salary and at the pleasure of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated December 8, 2023, the City Clerk wishes to appoint Delores Mack as the representative of the consumer group to the City of Mount Vernon Taxicab Commission for a term of three (3) years, commencing December 27, 2023, and expiring December 26, 2026; NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that this City Council does hereby appoint Delores Mack as the representative of the consumer group to the City of Mount Vernon Taxicab Commission for a term of three (3) years, commencing December 27, 2023, and expiring December 26, 2026; and be it further
RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.
