City Council:

A RESOLUTION RE-APPOINTING A MEMBER

TO THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY

OF MOUNT VERNON

WHEREAS, according to Chapter 24, Section 24-7 of the Mount Vernon City Code, as amended, entitled “Board of Ethics,” initial members of the Board of Ethics shall be appointed by this City Council; and

WHEREAS, the terms of office for initial members shall be two (2) years from the dates of their appointments for three (3) members and one (1) year from the date of their appointments for two members, and thereafter all appointments shall be for a term of two (2) years; and

WHEREAS, this City Council intends to re-appoint BLAIR HOPLIGHT, as a member of said Board of Ethics; NOW, THEREFORE, be it

RESOLVED, that this City Council does hereby re-appoint BLAIR HOPLIGHT to serve as a member of the Board of Ethics, for the term of two (2) years commencing December 27, 2023, and expiring on December 26, 2025; and be it further

RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.
