RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on December 11, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on December 12, 2024, authorizing the Mayor to Enter into an Agreement with the County of Westchester for Reimbursement of Parking Fees for the Use of Municipal Parking Lot #4 from May 1, 2016, through October 31, 2022. The county agreed to reimburse the City of Mount Vernon for the use of these parking spaces at the rate of $65.00 per space per month, as detailed below:

City Council:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF WESTCHESTER FOR
REIMBURSEMENT OF PARKING FEES FOR
THE USE OF MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT #4
FROM MAY 1, 2016, THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2022
Whereas, by letter dated December 3, 2024, the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety has requested legislation authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the County of Westchester for reimbursement to the City of Mount Vernon of $50,700.00 for the use of ten (10) parking spaces in Municipal Parking Lot #4 from May 1, 2016, through October 31, 2022; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon owns and operates Municipal Parking Lot #4, located on South Second Avenue; and
Whereas, the County of Westchester utilized ten (10) parking spaces in Municipal Parking Lot #4 from May 1, 2016, through October 31, 2022; and
Whereas, the County agreed to reimburse the City of Mount Vernon for the use of these parking spaces at the rate of $65.00 per space per month, as detailed below:

Whereas, the total amount due to the City of Mount Vernon for this period is $50,700.00; and
Whereas, the funds received under this agreement will be deposited into Budget Line A1720 (Parking Meter and Permit Fees); Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain and enact:
Section 1. Authorization. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the County of Westchester for reimbursement to the City of Mount Vernon of $50,700.00 for the use of ten (10) parking spaces in Municipal Parking Lot #4 from May 1, 2016, through October 31, 2022.
Section 2. Funding Allocation. The funds received pursuant to this agreement shall be deposited into Budget Line A1720 (Parking Meter and Permit Fees) to support municipal operations and services.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Board of Estimate & Contract.
