A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MOUNT VERNON, NEW YORK
HONORING AND RECOGNIZING
FIREFIGHTER FRANK DEMURO ON
HIS RETIREMENT FROM ACTIVE SERVICE
Whereas, FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO began his service with the Mount Vernon Fire Department on September 1, 1989; and
Whereas FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO comes from a family of Firefighters. His Uncle is a retired Mount Vernon Firefighter, his younger brother, Michael DeMuro currently serves in Mount Vernon, as well as his two sons, Dylan and Frank Jr.; and
Whereas, FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO has been assigned Engine Company 204, “Pride of the West Side” for the past 20 plus years. He was also assigned out of Oak Street Fire Station and to Tower Ladder 3 during his career. FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO has been a Senior Man in the Fire Stations, always mentoring new Firefighters. Many members in the department look to Firefighter DeMuro for his knowledge and leadership. He is highly respected, and his professionalism is evident. FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO has received a Unit Citation, letters of appreciation, and numerous other accolades for this excellent performance of duty; Now, Therefore, be it
Resolved, that:
Section 1: Recognition and Honor. FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO is hereby recognized and honored for his dedication, commitment, and outstanding contributions to the City of Mount Vernon, New York.
Section 2: Appreciation. The City Council expresses its appreciation for FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO’s exemplary service during his tenure as a Firefighter.
Section 3: Presentation. A copy of this resolution shall be presented to FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO as a token of the City’s recognition and appreciation for his outstanding service.

Resolved, that the City Council of the City of Mount Vernon joins with its citizens, the Mount Vernon Fire Department, the many friends, and family to express gratitude. We are thankful for FIREFIGHTER FRANK DeMURO’s many years of admirable public service and commend him for his dedication, commitment, leadership, and service to the citizens of Mount Vernon to celebrate.
