RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on December 11, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on December 12, 2024, authorizing the Use of ARPA Funds for Flooring Installation in the AWARE Command Center - $6,741.00 for the flooring installation shall be expended from Budget Line H3120.203.C666 (Asset Forfeiture Funds from DOJ); be, and the same is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
ARPA FUNDS FOR FLOORING INSTALLATION
IN THE AWARE COMMAND CENTER
Whereas, by letter dated December 3, 2024, the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety has requested legislation authorizing the use of ARPA funds in the amount of $6,741.00 for the installation of flooring in the AWARE Command Center; and
Whereas, the Department of Public Safety has established the AWARE Command Center to enhance public safety and improve law enforcement operations within the City of Mount Vernon; and
Whereas, the AWARE Command Center requires the installation of durable and professional flooring to ensure functionality and efficiency for its operations; and
Whereas, MagnaDry Inc., located at 453 N. MacQuesten Parkway, Mount Vernon, NY, has provided a proposal for the flooring installation at a total cost of $6,741.00; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon has adhered to its procurement policy by obtaining two additional quotes for this project, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and compliance with procurement regulations; and
Whereas, funds are available for this project in Budget Line H3120.203.C666 (Asset Forfeiture Funds from DOJ); Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain and enact:
Section 1. Authorization. The City Council hereby authorizes the use of ARPA funds in the amount of $6,741.00 for the installation of flooring in the AWARE Command Center.
Section 2. Approval of Vendor. The City Council approves MagnaDry Inc., located at 453 N. MacQuesten Parkway, Mount Vernon, NY, as the selected vendor for this project based on their submitted proposal.
Section 3. Funding Source. The total cost of $6,741.00 for the flooring installation shall be expended from Budget Line H3120.203.C666 (Asset Forfeiture Funds from DOJ).
Section 4. Procurement Compliance. The Department of Public Safety has satisfied the City of Mount Vernon’s procurement requirements by obtaining competitive quotes for this project.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Board of Estimate & Contract.
