Board of Estimate and Contract:

RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on December 27, 2023, and signed by the Mayor on December 28, 2023, authorizing the transfer of funds within the Department of Recreation be and the same is hereby approved.

City Council:

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF

FUNDS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION

Whereas, by letter dated December 15, 2023, the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Recreation has requested legislation authorizing the transfer of funds shown in the Chart below within the Department’s 2023 budget; and

Whereas, the Recreation Department requires adjustments to its budget lines to address current negative balances and future departmental purchases; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That

The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain, and enact:

Section 1.                     Title and Purpose:

(a)                     This ordinance shall be known as the “Transfer of Funds Ordinance.”

(b)                     The purpose of this ordinance is to authorize the transfer of funds within the Recreation Department.

Section 2.                     Budget Line Transfers.

(a)                     The following budget line transfers are hereby authorized:
