Board of Estimate & Contract:
RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on January 24, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on January 25, 2024, authorizing the Mayor to renew the contract with Interaction Insight Corporation (renewal from 4/1/24-3/31/25 in the amount of $7,383.00 to be satisfied in Budget Line A3120.416 {Technology Upgrades / Leases}), be and the same is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH
INTERACTION INSIGHT CORPORATION
Whereas, by letter dated January 17, 2024, the Interim Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety has requested legislation authorizing the Mayor to renew the Agreement with Interaction Insight Corporation for the period April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon recognizes the significance of maintaining effective communication systems, especially within the Police Department, for the enhancement of public safety; and
Whereas, the City Council previously approved an agreement with Interaction Insight Corporation on April 27, 2022, for the provision of the NICE Voice Recording System, which has been crucial for recording and recalling telephone conversations within the Police Department; and
Whereas, the existing agreement is set to expire on March 31, 2024, and the City seeks to renew the agreement for an additional year to continue benefiting from the services provided by Interaction Insight Corporation; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain, and enact:
Section 1. Agreement Renewal with Interaction Insight Corporation:
(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized to continue the agreement with Interaction Insight Corporation for the period of April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
(b) The cost of the renewal for this agreement shall be $7,383.00.
Section 2. Funding Source. Funds for the renewal shall be satisfied from Budget Line A3120.416 (Technology Upgrades / Leases).
Section 3. Purpose and Intent. The purpose of this ordinance is to extend the City's agreement with Interaction Insight Corporation for the provision of the NICE Voice Recording System, ensuring the continued recording and recall of telephone conversations within the Police Department.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval by the Board of Estimate & Contract.
