Board of Estimate & Contract:
RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on February 28, 2024, and signed by the Acting Mayor on February 28, 2024, authorizing an amendment of the 2024 salaries and transfer of funds from the Contingent Fund A1990.493 to various salary lines to cover the adjustments, be and the same is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT
OF THE 2024 SALARIES AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS
Whereas, by correspondence received from the Mayor’s office, the Mayor has requested legislation authorizing an amendment of the 2024 Salaries and transfer of funds from the Contingent Fund A1990.493 to various salary lines to cover the adjustments; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon recognizes the need to adjust the 2024 Salaries budget to accommodate changes in salary allocations; and
Whereas, it is necessary to transfer funds indicated in the Chart below from the Contingent Fund A1990.493 to various salary lines to cover the adjustments:

Whereas, the City Council has determined that such transfers are in the best interest of the City; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain and enact:
Section 1. Budget Line Transfer. The Comptroller is hereby instructed and directed to transfer the amounts indicated in the above Chart.
Section 2. Purpose. These transfers are necessary to cover the adjustments.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval by the Board of Estimate & Contract.
