RESOLVED, that an amendment adopted by the City Council on January 24, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on January 25, 2024, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Udemy Business for Professional Development on behalf of the Youth Bureau - (January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025; the total cost for this program shall not exceed $7,749.00 per year for two (2) years, totaling $15,498.00 to be accounted for in the departmental expense codes A7312-405), be and the same is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
UDEMY BUSINESS FOR PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT ON BEHALF OF THE YOUTH BUREAU
Whereas, by letter dated December 28, 2023, the Deputy Director of the Youth Bureau has requested legislation authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Udemy Business for professional development training on behalf of the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau for two years from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025; and
Whereas, the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau seeks to enhance professional development opportunities for its staff; and
Whereas, Udemy Business offers an online professional development platform with engaging on-demand, immersive, and cohort-based learning for leaders; and
Whereas, the department aims to achieve program outcomes by utilizing Udemy Business to provide licenses, training, and continued technical staff assistance; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordains, and enacts:
Section 1. Authorization to Enter into Agreement. The City Council authorizes the mayor to enter into an agreement with Udemy Business for professional development training on behalf of the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau for two years from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025.
Section 2. Purpose of the Agreement. The agreement with Udemy Business shall provide licenses, training, and continued technical staff assistance to enhance the professional development of the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau staff.
Section 3. Funding Allocation:
(a) The total cost for this program shall not exceed $7,749.00 per year for two (2) years, totaling $15,498.00.
(b) Funds for this program shall be accounted for in the departmental expense codes A7312-405.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval by the Board of Estimate & Contract.
