A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
THE SETTLEMENT OF THE CLAIM OF
GEORGE FRAZIER
WHEREAS, on December 10, 2025, George Frazier asserted a claim against the City of Mount Vernon alleging that his 2011 Toyota Avalon sustained property damage on November 23, 2025, while parked at 11 Park Avenue during emergency response operations conducted by the Mount Vernon Fire Department in connection with the five-alarm fire at 30 Cottage Avenue, and seeking reimbursement in the amount of Two Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars and Sixty-One Cents ($249.61); and;
WHEREAS, upon review and evaluation of the claim, the Corporation Counsel, by correspondence dated June 1, 2026, recommended that the Board of Estimate and Contract approve a settlement in the amount of $249.61.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Board of Estimate and Contract hereby authorizes the settlement of the claim filed by George Frazier in the amount of $249.61; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to disburse payment in the amount of $249.61 from Budget Code A1930.494 (Judgments and Settlements) in the 2026 Budget.
