City Council:
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE
ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2025
Whereas, on December 26, 2024, the Board of Estimate and Contract directed that the Annual Estimate for the fiscal year 2025 be submitted to the City Council for review and consideration; and
Whereas, the said Annual Estimate was duly submitted to and received by the City Council in accordance with applicable procedures and timelines; and
Whereas, on December 13, 2024, and December 16, 2024, the City Council held public hearings to provide an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to offer feedback, comments, and input on the proposed Annual Estimate; and
Whereas, the City Council has duly considered the comments and recommendations made during the public hearings and has conducted a thorough review of the submitted Annual Estimate; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain and enact:
Section 1. Adoption of the Annual Budget for 2025. The Annual Estimate for the fiscal year 2025, as submitted by the Board of Estimate and Contract, is hereby adopted and approved. The approved budget document is attached and incorporated herein by reference as part of this Ordinance.

Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
