Whereas, on April 8, 2024, MASTROGIORGIO, NICHOLAS filed a Notice of Claim seeking the sum of $5,275.19 against the City of Mount Vernon for property damage allegedly caused to the claimant’s 2023 Acura when a large tree branch from a tree situated on City property fell across the hood of claimant’s car denting and scratching the hood and passenger side also damaging the power drivers side view mirror on April 3, 2024; and
Whereas, by letter dated May 17, 2024, the Corporation Counsel hereby recommends that the Board of Estimate & Contract approve the settlement of the aforesaid claim in the amount of $5,275.19; Now, Therefore, be it
Resolved, that the aforesaid claim of MASTROGIORGIO, NICHOLAS, be settled for the sum of $5,275.19 and that said settlement be and the same hereby is approved; and be it further
Resolved, that said sum be paid out of Budget Code A1910.469 (Insurance - Claims), 2024 Budget.
