Board of Estimate & Contract:
Whereas, on May 1, 2023, TONGE, KYANA filed a Notice of Claim seeking the sum of $170.69 against the City of Mount Vernon alleging that her vehicle was towed by the City without prior warning (asserting there were no notices posted alerting the public of impending emergency tree removal) on April 3, 2023; and
Whereas, by letter dated February 13, 2024, the Corporation Counsel hereby recommends that the Board of Estimate & Contract approve the settlement of the aforesaid claim in the amount of $170.69; Now, Therefore, Be It
Resolved, that the aforesaid claim of TONGE, KYANA, be settled for the sum of $170.69 and that said settlement be and the same hereby is approved; and be it further
Resolved, that said sum be paid out of Code A1910.469 (Insurance - Claims), 2024 Budget.
