RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on February 14, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on February 15, 2024, authorizing the attendance of one (1) Member of Service ("MoS") at the Master Instructor Evaluator Course - (Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy, 50 Sanitarium Road, Pomona, NY on February 23, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - $150.00 to be satisfied from Budget Line A3120.451, Training), be and the same is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE
OF ONE (1) MEMBER OF SERVICE ("MOS") AT
THE MASTER INSTRUCTOR EVALUATOR COURSE
Whereas, by letter dated January 26, 2024, the Interim Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety has requested legislation authorizing one (1) Member of Service ("MoS") to attend the Master Instructor Evaluator Course at the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy, located at 50 Sanitarium Road, Pomona, NY, on February 23, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon recognizes the importance of providing professional development opportunities to its Members of Service ("MoS"); and
Whereas, the Master Instructor Evaluator Course held at the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy offers valuable training to enhance the skills and knowledge of law enforcement personnel; and
Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City to enable one (1) Member of Service to attend the aforementioned course; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain, and enact:
Section 1. Attendance Authorization. The City is hereby authorized to send one (1) Member of Service to attend the Master Instructor Evaluator Course at the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy, located at 50 Sanitarium Road, Pomona, NY, on February 23, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
