RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on February 14, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on February 15, 2024, authorizing one (1) Member of Service ("MoS") to attend the Basic Juvenile Police Officers Training (Westchester County Police Academy. 2 Dana Road, Valhalla, NY from April 8 -12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - $250.00 to be satisfied from Budget Line A3120.451, Training), be and the same is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ONE (1)
MEMBER OF SERVICE ("MOS") TO ATTEND THE
BASIC JUVENILE POLICE OFFICERS TRAINING
Whereas, by letter dated January 24, 2024, the Interim Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety has requested legislation authorizing one (1) Member of Service ("MoS") to attend the Basic Juvenile Police Officers Training to be held at the Westchester County Police Academy located at 2 Dana Road, Valhalla, NY from April 8 -12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon recognizes the importance of providing continuous training and professional development opportunities for its law enforcement personnel; and
Whereas, there exists a Basic Juvenile Police Officers Training to be held at the Westchester County Police Academy located at 2 Dana Road, Valhalla, NY from April 8 -12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., beneficial for the enhancement of skills and knowledge of law enforcement personnel; and
Whereas, the cost for attending this training is $250.00, to be satisfied from Budget Line A3120.451 (Training); Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain, and enact:
