RESOLVED, that an ordinance adopted by the City Council on February 14, 2024, and signed by the Mayor on February 15, 2024, authorizing one (1) Member of Service ("MoS") to attend a Warrants and Affidavit Writing Course (NYC Department of Investigation on February 21, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - $135.00 to be satisfied from Budget Line A3120.451, Training), be and the same is hereby approved.

MEMBER OF SERVICE ("MOS") TO ATTEND A
WARRANTS AND AFFIDAVIT WRITING COURSE
Whereas, by letter dated January 22, 2024, the Interim Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety has requested legislation authorizing one (1) Member of Service ("MoS") to attend the Warrants and Affidavit Writing Course to be held at the NYC Department of Investigation on February 21, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the use of a department vehicle to and from this course; and
Whereas, the City of Mount Vernon recognizes the importance of providing continuous training and professional development opportunities for its law enforcement personnel; and
Whereas, there exists a Warrants and Affidavit Writing Course to be held at the NYC Department of Investigation from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on February 21, 2024, beneficial for the enhancement of skills and knowledge of law enforcement personnel; and
Whereas, the cost for attending this training is $135.00, to be satisfied from Budget Line A3120.451 (Training); Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That
The City of Mount Vernon, in City Council convened, does hereby ordain, and enact:
Section 1. Attendance Authorization.
